Reject

So. Rejection is painful. Sure, getting dumped is painful as well, but its different. Same same but different. When one is dumped, one know what which is lost. The thing lost is more or less tangible. The relationship is lost, love is lost, something which has been definite is lost. Rejection on the other hand has an altogether different loss. Rejection means that nothing even begun. That which is lost is the potential. The potential for something to happen, something which has never happened before. That is lost. It is intangible and insubstantial. What is lost is the potential of something beautiful. Sure one might say that being dumped, you will lose the future. But I think that that future is somewhat more foreseeable.

Rejection is painful. The ensuing period after rejection is more awkward than anything. What is the status of being? How familiar should the two persons be? How should one act around the other? What does one do with those feelings then? Bury them deeply? Erase them? Pretend that it had never existed? Well, I don't know.

contiunue being the way you were, because, things changes. An initial rejection doesn't mean all is lost. At least I always thought this way.
